At the heart of the evening is a clear narrative arc: The concert tells a story of coming home that we can all relate to.
Even though our paths differ, there are many milestones that our life journeys share. Experiences of setting out, of searching, of doubting, of hoping, and of arriving.
These unifying moments highlight what moves us as human beings and what connects us to one another.
Musically, this journey is brought to life through a diverse selection of popular music.
Classic and modern pop songs, rap passages, body percussion, dance, as well as accompaniment by a live band and a string quartet lend the program dynamism and make the choral concert a multifaceted experience.
The Popchor Spandau was founded in 2019 and rehearses weekly in Berlin-Spandau under the direction of Oliver Seidel.
It is part of the Evangelical Church District of Spandau and brings together 85 members of different denominations, genders, and nationalities.
