One year later, an invitation is extended to the presentation of the film recordings and a live sound experience with an artist talk. The acoustic drums take centre stage and, thanks to a deeply committed drummer and enthusiast, become an experience for the eyes and ears.

Andi Bühler is a drummer and percussionist who, after studying in Bern and New York, has been involved in the colourful Berlin music scene for over 20 years. He plays with Cathrin Pfeifer, Blue Man Group, The BootyJive, among others.


For many decades, the LabSaal mainstream was characterised by world music, folk and Yiddish music, supplemented by our own theatre productions, musicals and programmes requested by the audience. The programme was clearly structured – ‘Kesselbuntes’ was not our style.

In recent years, this has changed: Today, the LabSaal presents a diverse mix that both meets the wishes of our audience – for example, for danceable music – and honours our musical roots. At the same time, our theatre scene has been revived and provides varied evenings of high quality. Another important focus of the programme is now the performances of amateur choirs and orchestras from Reinickendorf. We offer these ensembles fair performance opportunities, support them with our expertise and repeatedly experience events of impressive quality – with an enthusiastic audience. Our cooperation with the Reinickendorf Music School is also an integral part of our cultural network.
