Support Act: Las Petunias
After an extraordinary concert year with many sold-out evenings – including an outstanding concert last month with Geordie Greep (black midi) – SON Estrella Galicia is writing the next chapter in its Berlin success story: on 23 April, the renowned concert series is bringing the internationally acclaimed band Los Bitchos to Bi Nuu in Berlin.
In keeping with the concept of the series, which is to combine international acts with Spanish talent, the evening will be opened by the trio Las Petunias from Madrid. Only bands with female line-ups will be on stage that evening.
With Los Bitchos, SON Estrella Galicia presents a band that, like no other, stands for hypnotic grooves, tropical guitar melodies and ecstatic live energy. The London-based quartet combines cumbia, surf and psychedelic sounds to create a distinctive, purely instrumental sound that is as irresistibly danceable as it is atmospheric. Their shows invite you to immerse yourself in a vibrant universe of sound – pulsating, colourful and euphoric.
23 April at Bi Nuu promises to be another unforgettable concert night.
SON Estrella Galicia is considered a pioneer in curating extraordinary musical experiences throughout Spain and has now expanded its concept to the UK, Portugal, the USA, Brazil and Uruguay. Last year, the project launched its micro-festivals in Berlin and introduced itself to German audiences with four sold-out concerts in a row – featuring its signature blend of independent live music and craft beer culture.
As a music-focused extension of the independent family brewery Estrella Galicia (which has been brewing exceptional beer since 1906), SON Estrella Galicia has been combining beer culture with unforgettable musical experiences since 2009. With past line-ups in Spain, the UK, Portugal, the US, Brazil and Uruguay featuring artists such as YAEJI, Roosevelt, DEADLETTER, 2manyDJs, Panic Shack, Militarie Gun, Crack Cloud and Dream Wife, as well as collaborations with innovative and sustainable street food vendors, the project is committed to sustainability and community. By employing environmentally conscious practices, it minimises its ecological footprint while sustainably enriching the local art and food scene.
Sustainability is a central pillar of the project and is particularly evident at the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia Festival in Formentera, Spain. The festival made history as the first in the world to be awarded True Platinum Zero Waste status by the GBCI. With deep roots in Galicia, Estrella Galicia is committed to environmentally friendly products and sustainable events. Close cooperation with local farmers and producers not only protects the environment, but also ensures the high quality of the beers.
SON Estrella Galicia is the music platform of the Galician craft beer brand Estrella Galicia and combines music, culture, talent and enjoyment in unique live experiences.
