Paper becomes round and radiant: children and adults create their own mini planets that glow like small lamps at the end. In this workshop, small spherical planet lamps are made from paper. A balloon serves as the mold and is covered with thin paper and glue. Once dry, the balloon is removed, leaving behind a light yet sturdy paper sphere.
Participants can design their planet lamps however they like—with colors, textures, or small patterns. In the end, everyone takes home their own handmade lamp that creates beautiful plays of light and shadow.
The workshop is playful, easy to access, and enjoyable for both children and adults. It introduces simple papier-mâché techniques, a feel for materials, and three-dimensional making—without requiring any prior experience.
