The Singing Project

The Singing Project (2021–ongoing) is a collective practice initiated by Ayumi Paul, Artist in Residence 2022 at the Gropius Bau. Since its inception, the project has evolved into an open space for free singing and mutual listening through a series of workshops, gatherings, and an on-site exhibition.

In the coming years, the project will continue with communal singing around the summer solstice. Rooted in systems of knowledge that embrace intuition, imagination, bodily memory, and dreams as ways of being in the world, Ayumi Paul’s activations create an awareness of the complexity of relationships.
