Cabaret chansons and stories from the 1920s to the present day
Chanson-Nette and her Berlin mouth. This is genuine entertainment with just the right mix of cheeky and sentimental. Musical accompaniment by Harry Ermer on piano & harmonica and Kevin Ermer (drums/vocals).
The Tagesspiegel could hardly describe the Berlin chanson performer “Chanson-Nette” Jeannette Urzendowsky better:
“With her red tousled hair, cheeky wide mouth and big eyes, which tell cheerful and serious stories at the same time, the lively artist is one of the few performers who can credibly embody a Berlin original.”
Her repertoire ranges from the 1920s to the present day, from the virtuosos of Berlin humor such as Kurt Tucholsky, Erich Kästner, Friedrich Hollaender, Werner Richard Heymann, Claire Waldoff & Co. to contemporary authors. Pieces by Friedhelm Kändler, Pigor & Eichhorn or the Fabulöse Thekenschlampen are included, but also “home-brewed”. More Berlin and Potsdam is not possible.
Have fun with “Ach Jott, wat sind die Männer dumm!”, “Unsere Havel ist unser Rhein”, “Mir liegen die älteren Jahrgänge”, with the “Fußballerfrau” & many other cabaret hits.
Of course, Chanson-Nette also sings about her passion for espresso in the sunshine.
And in her search for the ideal man, the 1.53-meter bundle of temperament chokes on many a cocktail d'amour.
