On the Day of Independent German-Language Film Magazines, media creators and interested individuals come together to discuss the past, present, and future of independent film criticism and publishing.



The aim is to foster exchange, networking, and collaboration.Through a series of talks and discussions, participants will explore film journalism from a variety of perspectives. The day concludes with a communal get-together featuring music and drinks.



Please note: only one event in the programme will be held in English; the rest will be in German.

Between the initial idea and the finished magazine lies a wide range of possibilities that need to be shaped and defined. From editorial direction and finding the right title, to legal structure, graphic design, and distribution strategy – we’ll briefly outline the key steps involved in launching a print magazine.
