Artistic documentary film & live music *Premiere*

"The Sea Is Like Music" – Pacem in Maribus is a multimedia concert project by saxophonist Claudia Tesorino. The project is conceived as an artistic statement in support of the ocean – as a source of life, a soundscape, a place of longing, and a political issue.

The audience is invited to experience the sea from the artist's personal perspective – emotionally, reflectively, and sensually. The film features, among other things, impressive footage of deep-sea creatures by the internationally acclaimed underwater photographer Solvin Zankl.

The music, composed specifically for this project by Claudia Tesorino, is performed live by the Tesorino Quartet alongside the documentary-style film, as well as in independent musical segments.

The compositions move between jazz, classical, world music, and improvisation, unfolding as an equal narrative layer to the film. The Tesorino Quartet is a well-established ensemble with great stylistic openness, whose dialogic interplay musically interprets and expands upon the film in real time.
