The registration period for this year's School Cinema Weeks Berlin has begun. Last year, the country's largest film education festival welcomed 34,000 young viewers to more than 30 cinemas.
From November 14 to 28, 2025, Berlin school classes are once again invited to take their classes to the cinema, a cultural and educational venue, for a day. Students of all ages can expect a diverse program of over 50 short and feature films.
At the School Cinema Weeks Berlin, children and young people have the opportunity to interact with filmmakers and experts directly in the cinema, take a look behind the scenes, and discuss their viewing experiences. Teachers will be supported in preparing for and following up on their cinema visits through training opportunities.
School classes can now register for the screenings and accompanying programs up to one week before the screening begins. Screenings at preferred dates are also possible upon request.
Opening event on November 14th at Kino Toni
At the ceremonial opening of the 21st Berlin School Cinema Weeks, a preview of the film "NULPEN" by Sorina Gajewski will be shown for students in eighth grade and above.
Following the screening, Berlin school classes are invited to a film discussion with the young lead actors Bella Lochmann, Pola Geiger, and Rio Kirchner.
