ROMERÍA [Catalan and Spanish (original version with subtitles)]

The film is an intimate journey into her own past and a search for the fragmented and contradictory memories of an era, based on her mother’s personal diary.

The multi-award-winning director creates a mosaic that reveals an intense love story set in 1980s Spain—a time of liberation and experimentation, marked by drug use and the HIV epidemic.

The film combines intimate realism with poetic evocations to explore loss, family, and the need to construct one’s own story.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the audience, moderated by Olivia López Bremme, accompanied by a wine from the Mallorcan winery Ànima Negra and a special tapa specialty from the Hotel Gat Point Charlie (GatRooms) in Berlin.

Admission is €10 and includes the film, the discussion, the aperitif, and all taxes.
