The Return to #TheNewOldHome, a meditation on aging and aging democracies, combines different narrative forms (puzzles, sound and image installation, novel, interactive social game, radio play) and invites visitor:s to explore the fascinating life of a 78-year-old woman - Mrs. D - who has recently moved from her village to a small Romanian town and begins to see parallel versions of herself living in Berlin, Barcelona and in the dystopian future of 2057. The story follows Mrs. D and her millennial granddaughter Gina on their magical journey and invites you to consider your own choices for a future, older version of yourself.

IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BRING A SMARTPHONE, HEADPHONES AND A QR CODE SCANNER APP.
The text of #TheNewOldHome was developed as part of the project "Ageing Democracies? Political Participation and Cultural Values among Older People in Europe," initiated by CCCB (Center of Contemporary Culture Barcelona), with support from the Open Society Foundations.

The installation is available in English only.
