“Shut up.” “You have no say here.” Many a girl has been indoctrinated with these messages. Not all of them were immune, and others lost their joy in storytelling and making up stories by the time they reached school, if not sooner.

At the Paula Women’s Center in Weißensee, women gather who find the words to describe their feelings and experiences. Women who are eager to engage with language in a playful way, to explore creative and autobiographical writing, and to share and reflect.
As “Frau Macht Wort,” they leave their familiar writing space in Weißensee, explore the neighborhood in Prenzlauer Berg, and present themselves at the KulturMarktHalle.
