The first Christmas beer garden opens on 24 November, with mulled wine, tarte flambée and curling outside, and roast goose inside. The Prater is now getting off to a doubly good start to the Advent season.

Is there anything better than enjoying a cool beer in the Prater on a balmy summer evening under old chestnut trees? Visiting the new Christmas beer garden this winter will be just as wonderful.

From 24 November to 23 December 2025, Berlin's oldest beer garden will be transformed into an atmospheric Christmas beer garden for the first time – with fairy lights, warm blankets and winter classics for a cosy Advent season. Whether classic with mulled wine and kale with knackwurst or modern with freshly tapped beer and tarte flambée: the large selection has something for every preference. There are also hot cocktails, goulash soup, Belgian waffles and other delicacies. Those looking for sporting variety will find it in curling. For children, there is a bright carousel and a small play paradise. The stands are mainly occupied by regional exhibitors presenting their range of handicrafts. The beer garden has always been a meeting place for the neighbourhood and anyone who appreciates the real Berlin.
