Another story of divided Berlin

Land reform and elephants. "Defection from the Republic" in a cow. A spy tunnel threatening the planned economy. Potatoes in the Tiergarten. Production cooperatives in Marzahn. Ideological showdowns and trade across the Wall.

It is often overlooked: Berlin has always had a rural history, even and especially during the time of division (1945–1990). This event will explore its traces—offering surprising insights into the city's history.
