Since 2019, the British band The Pill has been bringing a breath of fresh air to the punk scene with their raw DIY sound, biting satire, and intense live shows. Their first EP – aptly titled "The EP" – was released in the spring and includes the song "POSH," which premiered on BBC 6 Music.
With this release, The Pill make it unmistakably clear that they're here to stay. Their concerts are a high-energy experience that delights punk fans of every generation – and in December, they'll finally be performing live in Berlin.
The four friends, Sascha on drums, Jan on bass, and guitarists Philipp and Tobias, had already shaken up the Frankfurt scene in the 1990s and 2000s. They played in various bands, toured Europe and the US, were mods, punks, and hardcore kids. And they've never lost their connection and their love for music.
So, after their breakup, they reunited to rehearse, write songs, and relive that band feeling. But something essential was missing: a singer. They wanted to play shows again and show everyone what they had created. So they went looking and found Sam.
Sam, this mystical punk rock fairy from some parallel universe. Sam can sing, scream, pierce through, and delivers the lyrics that underpin it all.
