Berliner Symphoniker, Paolo Scibilia, Gianluca Luisi, Raffaele D’Angelo
The Berlin Symphony Orchestra powerfully opens the new season and its first symphony concert with the festive overture to Richard Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.
Under the motto "Piano & Forte," two of the most important Romantic piano concertos are presented:
Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto captivates with its striking, sweeping opening theme, while Rachmaninoff's Second Concerto creates an atmosphere full of drama and depth with striking chords reminiscent of bell tolls.
