Guided tour of the grounds of the former brewery
The Pfefferberg on Schönhauser Allee has undergone an unprecedented transformation over the course of its more than 180 years. Founded as a brewery with industrial production, the Pfefferberg also served as a chocolate factory, a bakery, a publishing house, and a printing plant.

In the late 1980s, the vacant and dilapidated site was brought back to life by residents of the surrounding neighborhood, including many artists. They laid the foundation for the long-term preservation of this industrial landmark as a cultural and educational hub.
