13. Open studios in Steglitz-Zehlendorf
The 13th edition of the Open Ateliers in Steglitz-Zehlendorf will take place on November 11th and 12th this year. A total of 38 artists will open their studio doors to visitors on both days from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During this event, visitors get a direct insight into the studios and art studios of the diverse artists in Zehlendorf and Steglitz. This enables them to experience the individuality and diversity of artistic activities in the district. In addition to the individual studios and studio communities, visitors can also explore painting schools and multimedia rooms, allowing them to discover a wide range of different creative works.
There are also sculpture workshops and painting studios that develop their own charm in backyards or behind garden fences, off the usual tourist trails. Through the often hidden and surprising insights behind the "bourgeois" facade in southwest Berlin, visitors can experience innovation and the joy of experimentation up close.
Since the tour extends across the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, it is even advisable to include both opening days in your planning. In previous years the districts were visited separately, but for those who prefer specific destinations or routes, the wide range of variety offers ideal options.
In recent years, many visitors have used bicycles to visit the studios, as all studios from number 1 at Düppeler Forst in Wannsee to number 38 in Steglitz are easily accessible. In addition, all destinations can be reached via the same BVG bus route.
