Learning to shape the future

At the Open Lab evening "Futures Storytelling" you will learn the art of storytelling in a fast-track. Based on various scenarios and future personas, the participants slip into the shoes of a person from the future and create a picture of the future from their perspective.

WHAT IS AN OPEN LAB EVENING?

Every Thursday things get creative in the lab. You will learn about methods such as design thinking or future storytelling, you can try out 3D printers and laser cutters and take a look behind the scenes of the lab projects. There is something new every week.

With the method of future storytelling, those interested can break down complex content and make innovations tangible. In this way, you can experience possible futures together in a very visual way and discuss them with each other.

Storytelling can be used wherever facts need to be communicated in an understandable and emotionally accessible way, be it in strategy development or in discussions in university seminars.

In terms of content, you will deal with the topic of democracy. The idea of democracy is more than 2000 years old. A lot has changed since then. Today, social media and globalization are changing the way we live together. And in the future? In the workshop, everyone will explore the question of how positive images of the future can be created beyond clichés and stereotypes. Discover how democracy can continue!

The event is part of the workshop series “Learning to shape the future”, which takes place once a month as part of the Open Lab evening. In a total of four modules, you will learn about methods of shaping the future, which you can put together to create your own individual future method kit.
