The Playfords perform European Advent and Christmas carols from the 14th to the 18th centuries. Playfully modern yet historically authentic, The Playfords bring to life the full spectrum of Christmas emotions in early music, from quiet contemplation to exuberant joy. The Playfords are one of the few early music ensembles that improvise spontaneously on stage.
