NoonSong - Song & Prayer
Spectral
sounds in Palestrina's choral music - In this
NoonSong, you can hear just how wide the musical spectrum of the work of this
year's jubilarian, Palestrina, is. While the voices in the motet ‘Ad te levavi’
soar upwards with crystal clarity and implore God, the sound in ‘Christus
factus est’ is weighty and pensive. However, both compositions have a spatial
and balanced sound in common.
