Mozart Requiem & Beethofen 5. Sinfonie
The Czech Symphony Orchestra Prague will present two masterful, fateful works on the stage of the Berlin Philharmonie on Totensonntag: the moving "Requiem in D minor" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the powerful "Fate Symphony" No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Mozart's Requiem is a choral masterpiece whose genesis is shrouded in mystery - a story that makes the piece all the more fascinating and emotionally stirring.
Ludwig van Beethoven's 5th Symphony, in C minor, is perhaps the most famous symphony in music history, not least because of the first four notes - about which Beethoven himself is said to have said: "Thus fate knocks at the gate."
