New Workshop Series Launches at URBAN NATION Museum in September
In collaboration with the NANO Science Center and supported by the foundation Berliner Leben, state-owned housing company Gewobag is launching a new hands-on workshop series for children and young people starting Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the URBAN NATION Museum.
"Mix it. Shake it. Spray it.” combines creativity and scientific discovery – free of charge and right in the heart of Berlin-Schöneberg. This new format blends urban art with STEM education to promote creativity, curiosity, and social participation.
Workshop Highlights
At the core of the workshop is a creative experiment: using simple and safe materials, kids and teens build their own DIY spray bottle. A chemical reaction creates pressure, which they use to spray paint and create unique artworks. Along the way, they learn basic principles of chemistry and physics, as well as artistic techniques like color mixing, layering, and visual effects.
Art as a Tool for Learning and Empowerment
This workshop is part of Gewobag’s educational and social commitment through its foundation Berliner Leben. It is aimed at children aged 7 and up from the local neighborhood and across Berlin. The goal is to offer accessible programming that fosters creativity, knowledge, and a sense of agency.
