A fascinating interplay of tradition and modernity with jazz pianist Johannes Kersthold.
The experienced pianist, composer, and producer Johannes Kersthold combines the rich sound world of organ music with the nuances of modern microtonality. New harmonies emerge in the interplay between organ and C15 synthesizer as historical tunings meet experimental sounds. A unique concert experience, not just for music lovers.
Note: You only pay the museum entrance fee. The event is included in the admission price. Admission is free for children, young people under 18, and those eligible for concessions.

Sunday in the Nikolai Quarter
With this special event, the Stadtmuseum Berlin (Berlin City Museum) is reviving the popular Museum Sunday, which unfortunately cannot be continued in 2025 due to budget cuts by the Berlin Senate. Instead, on the first Sunday of each month, we offer a special, diverse program for everyone at our three museums in the Nikolai Quarter.
Families are especially invited – admission is free for children and young people under 18! So, look forward to more great offers at the Ephraim-Palais Museum, the Nikolaikirche Museum, and the Knoblauchhaus Museum.
While admission can no longer be free for everyone, it remains free for many:
The solidarity-based pricing model offers free admission for adult visitors with proof of eligibility for a discount, including students, trainees, participants in the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ), Federal Volunteer Service (BFD), people with disabilities, refugees, recipients of citizen's income or unemployment benefit I, and many others. Everyone else only pays the museum admission fee and can take advantage of the discounted combination ticket for all three museums. The extensive program of special events is included in the price.
