Lasagna in Bed

Matilde Keizer as an Italian woman in the capital, her “career” as an actress, and her cultural misunderstandings—and all of this with a mother whom some might not wish for.

But you’re lucky enough to be able to laugh at this misery. With self-deprecating humor, Matilde can handle whatever life throws at her, and with every laugh, you’ll feel a little lighter.

No topic is too trivial for Matilde, and everyone will find something to smile at, giggle at, or laugh at—so much so that it almost hurts a little. The balancing act between pain and humor. That’s Matilde’s comedy. And you’re welcome to enjoy it to the fullest. “Lasagna in Bed” is a bad idea, but too good to stop. It’s the tomato sauce stain on the comforter. It’s melted cheese for breakfast: it’s simply everything you wouldn’t normally dare to allow yourself.
