Singer and mbira virtuoso Mary Anibal is Zimbabwe's new rising star. The 26-year-old musician, who combines traditional sounds with modern rhythms with her unique voice, launched her solo career in 2023 and won the Zimbabwe Grammy for Best New Artist in the same year.

Mary Anibal, who also campaigns for women's rights in her home country, has been celebrated in Zimbabwe ever since and has also been able to showcase her talent on international stages.
Last year, she also thrilled German audiences during her first European tour, including with her live performance on ZDF's Morgenmagazin. On this year's concert tour, Mary Anibal will be accompanied by Latvian pianist/organist Agita Rando.
