The Summit for Better Developer Experience, Strong Software Design & Effective APIs
From November 24th to 27th, 2025, the software development community will meet in Berlin for the MAD Summit to not only learn about new methods but also apply them directly in 18 practical, hands-on workshops.
Program highlights include:
- Into the Future with Legacy Software: How to Modularize a Monolith (Arne Limburg)
- Data Handling in Distributed Software Systems (Lars Röwekamp)
- Domain-Driven API Design with a Focus on Robust REST & Event APIs (Dr. Annegret Juncker & Ferdinand Ade)
- API Security: A Token Doesn't Ensure Security (Uwe & Noah Neukam)
- AI-Supported Test-Driven Development in Practice (Marco Emrich & Ferdinand Ade)
Over 20 renowned experts will participate, including Henning Schwentner (DDD author), Saloni Gupta (Google API developer), and Dr. Annegret Juncker (Chief Architect). The summit will provide practical strategies for reducing technical debt, modularizing legacy code, developing secure APIs, directly applying what has been learned, and remaining relevant in the age of AI.
Under the motto "Make. Adapt. Deliver," the event offers learning paths across the entire software lifecycle – from ideation through architecture and development to operation.
The tracks include:
- API Design & Development
- Developer Experience & Flow
- Modernization & Service Architecture
- Software Design & Patterns
The event concludes with the API Bootcamp with Arne Limburg (Lead Architect, OpenKnowledge GmbH), where participants will learn how to develop scalable and intuitive APIs across the entire API lifecycle over two days. Space is limited.
