On 7 November, Greenpeace will present the multimedia live report ‘Grad°jetzt: Gegen die Angst’ (Degree Now: Against Fear) at Cinestar Cubix with renowned climate journalist and presenter Louisa Schneider.
Together, we will cancel the end of the world. This live show is for anyone who has ever felt anxious, powerless or helpless in the face of the climate crisis. For anyone who has ever thought that the current situation is too big or too complicated to understand or even do anything about.
Louisa Schneider visited five places on our planet known as ‘climate tipping points’: she felt the heat of deforestation in Brazil, saw entire houses and beaches disappear in Senegal, heard the ice crack in Canada and Greenland, and dived down to the bleached corals in Australia. But she constantly encounters incredibly courageous people who are already most affected by the effects of the climate crisis today, but who are fearlessly setting out into the world of tomorrow. Louisa takes you to the rainforest, we learn from the shamans of the indigenous Yanomami, join the people of Senegal, listen to the stories of the Inuit and dive deep into the Great Barrier Reef.
In this show, we deconstruct the world as we know it today. With openness and hope, humour and entertainment, and even more empathy, we free ourselves from the systems that cause suffering to people and our livelihoods. Louisa shows us ways in which we can work together to create a fairer world for us all.
