Almost every painting begins with a drawing – then as now. In the Kupferstichkabinett, you’ll discover Baroque drawings that were created as templates for paintings or precious tapestries. Others capture fascinating moments – long before cameras existed.

Then it’s your turn: using ink, brushes, chalk or pencils, you’ll set your lines on their journey. You’ll experiment with hatching, paint with diluted ink and add colour. This is how you’ll create your own sketches and ideas. Finally, you’ll bind your drawings together to make your very own sketchbook.
