Die Schmitz is dedicated to precisely these timeless emotions with a charmingly sassy mix of German chansons and Schlager songs.
The program features songs by Marlene Dietrich, Zarah Leander, and Hildegard Knef, as well as classics by Vicky Leandros, Milva, and other great voices from past decades. In addition to melancholic tunes, the show also explores the lighthearted, quirky, and comical side of love—life, failure, and moving on. Entertaining, tongue-in-cheek chansons, garnished with cheerful anecdotes and little jabs at the eternal conflict between the heart and the mind. DIE SCHMITZ and DER DURRA look forward to seeing you.
