Look, marvel, laugh—you can't get more Berlin than this

An evening full of Berlin chansons and poetry awaits you: cheeky, touching and funny, performed by “Chanson-Nette” and her stage partner Tal Balshai with their unmistakable Berlin wit.

A wonderful blend of music, cabaret, and charm from the so-called “Golden Twenties” to present-day Berlin. Always right in the middle of life. With lyrics by Kurt Tucholsky, Robert Gilbert, Erich Kästner, Friedrich Hollaender & Hilde Knef to Pigor & Eichhorn, Friedhelm Kändler, the “Fabulösen Thekenschlampen” and, of course, Tal Balsha.

With humor and feeling, it's about love, men, the big city, and longing.  Have fun with “Oh dear, how stupid men are!”, “Mir liegen die älteren Jahrgänge” (I like the older ones), “Unsere Havel ist unser Rhein” (Our Havel is our Rhine), with the “Großstadtpflanze” (city plant), the “Fußballerfrau” (soccer player's wife), the “Dornröschen aus'm Wedding” (Sleeping Beauty from Wedding), with “Sonnenbrand” (sunburn), ‘Kunststück’ (feat), “Männer ABC” (men's ABC) or “Irgendwo auf der Welt gibt's ein kleines bisschen Glück” (somewhere in the world there's a little bit of happiness).

Of course, Chanson-Nette also sings about her passion for espresso in the sunshine: “Why can't my Berlin be in Italy?”  And in her search for the ideal man, the 1.53-meter-tall bundle of energy with heart and wit chokes on some cocktails d'amour.

“Rin ins Verjnüjen” is also “a musical cabaret evening against forgetting.”

Chanson-Nette recalls the great artists of the 1920s and early 1930s,whose lives and works the Nazis wanted to eradicate. This is particularly close to her heart. She is an honorary ambassador for the German Cabaret Archive.

The Berliner Tagesspiegel writes about Chanson-Nette: "There are few artists who can embody a Berlin original so convincingly."

DIRECTIONS:
How to get there? It's easy: "Anna Koschke" is located in the heart of Berlin. Take the S-Bahn line 1 (S1) to the "Oranienburger Straße" station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk past the New Synagogue Berlin (Centrum Judaicum) to the junction of Krausnickstraße and Oranienburger Straße. Turn left and walk a few more steps to number 11. The best place to park your car is the "Alexianer Parking Garage" of St. Hedwig Hospital (entrance on Krausnickstraße).

ANNA KOSCHKE:
Old Berlin flair, Zille-style atmosphere – does that still exist in Mitte, just a few steps from Oranienburger Straße? Or have the new chain and trendy bars, the hip cafés and pubs completely replaced the coziness of old Berlin? No. At Krausnickstraße 11, very close to the Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn station, the "Anna Koschke" has held its own bravely and is welcoming since reunification. Here, you can still sit together with a beer and homemade meatballs, all the charm of yesteryear, rustic comfort, and a touch of 1920s glamour. And on nice days in spring, summer, or fall, there's even a cute courtyard theater.

In short: "Anna Koschke" is a successful mix of café, pub, bar, and romantic theater, just like in the old days, named after a legendary former landlady. Anna Koschke is also an insider tip for Berlin cuisine at fair prices.
