Being constantly available is a thing of the past. Lennart Schilgen returns with his third show – and shines through his absence. When he's not on stage, racking up cabaret awards (Prix Pantheon, Stuttgarter Besen, and many more), he's mainly doing one thing: getting away.

Among other things, he goes on bike tours, visits a monastery, and attends a communist summer camp. Or simply delves into the depths of his own thoughts, which is often adventurous enough. The result is a collection of songs about the detours and twists of fate in the world and in his own mind. Full of lightness and wit, but also unafraid to explore the darker corners. This time, he unearths things that have been swept under the rug for years: the old PUR cassette. The elementary school report cards. The incident with the night bus stop.

Fortunately, Schilgen steers safely across every precipice – carried by his accomplished piano and guitar playing, his voice, and his "keen mind, with heart and humor and sly punchlines" (laudation for "The Tuttlingen Crow").

And if all else fails, there are always the poems: little linguistic treasure troves, profoundly silly, yet supremely artful. His recently published "Collected Works," if I may briefly mention it here, are already something of a bestseller by poetry book standards. Any questions? Feel free to email him anytime. He just doesn't reply. So, the best thing to do is simply come directly to the BAR JEDER VERNUNFT.
