In what is known as “Broken” or “English Consort,” instruments from different families come together. At the concert on August 30, young musicians will create a delightful dialogue between string and wind instruments, unfolding a fascinating variety of sounds and creative expressiveness.

This atmospheric evening in the cloister of Lehnin Abbey Church is dedicated to entertaining music from England – as it was heard in the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods, for example at the court of Elizabeth I.

Works by Thomas Morley, Tobias Hume, John Dowland, Matthew Locke, and others.

  • Emma Erchinger, vocals
  • Xenia Lemberski, violin
  • Johanna Möri, recorder
  • Tirza Albach, viola da gamba

Sat, Aug. 30, 2025, in the cloister of the Lehnin monastery church, 7 p.m.
