Performing Arts Season 2025/2026
Marietta Piekenbrock, author, dramaturge, and curator, has initiated and realized numerous exhibitions, festivals, and interdisciplinary cultural programs in the fields of theater, dance, performance, and the visual arts.
Marietta Piekenbrock was a member of the management team of the European Capital of Culture RUHR.2010, chief dramaturge of the Ruhrtriennale (2012–2014), and program director of the Volksbühne Berlin, together with Chris Dercon until 2018. Her projects include curating the exhibition "Global Groove. Dance, Art, Performance, and Protest" at the Museum Folkwang (Essen, 2021). She has also published essays and specialist books on international developments in theater and dance.
