Late Night: 60 Jahre Philharmonie-Orgel

Its organ is turning 60, and the Philharmonic is celebrating the milestone anniversary with a late-night concert featuring the young organist Jan Liebermann and the Philharmonic's principal flautist Emmanuel Pahud.

The program features popular works by Johann Sebastian Bach, including two flute sonatas, the famous Toccata in D minor, and the virtuoso Sinfonia for the "Council Election Cantata."

Max Reger's transcription of the Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor from the Well-Tempered Clavier leads into Romantic realms before the organ's full sonic splendor is showcased in an arrangement of the famous Chaconne.
