KODO, the world-famous Japanese drum ensemble, impresses with rapid precision, overwhelming virtuosity, surprising melodies, and impressive physical presence. For over 40 years, KODO has captivated audiences worldwide and helped the Japanese art of drumming achieve international fame – its fascination remains undiminished to this day.
Kodo, the Japanese Taiko drum group, plays traditional Japanese rhythms and original compositions. The group consists of nearly 50 members, was founded in 1981, and has already performed over 3,000 times around the world.
