Under the motto "How can I keep from singing," the diverse program invites you on a musical journey through several centuries, styles, and countries – from the Renaissance to the rousing sounds of this era.
The program begins with Renaissance pieces by Pierre Attaignant, John Wilbye, Orlando di Lasso, and Hans Leo Hassler, whose music continues to captivate today with its rhythmic lightness and delicate polyphony.
The choir then spans a range from Baroque soundscapes to Nordic Romanticism, represented by works by Wilhelm Stenhammar and Wilhelm Peterson-Berge, among others. Modern timbres and folk-song-like and popular compositions round out the program with works such as "Wir machen Musik" (We Make Music) and "If You're Happy" (If You're Happy) – humorous choral music full of joie de vivre.
