Concert with the cantatas 1,4,6
Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio was first performed in Leipzig in 1734. It musically tells the story of the birth of Jesus. Bach masterfully combines chorales, solo voices and orchestra to create a festive and spiritual atmosphere that expresses the Christmas message in musically complex ways.
