Association of Berlin Women Artists

The INTERIEUR exhibition, held in the project space of the Verein der Berliner Künstlerinnen 1867 e.V. (Association of Berlin Women Artists), showcases works by Fides Becker, Rachel Kohn, Pauline Kraneis, Anja Teske and guest artist Ka Bomhardt. It focuses on the interior as a culturally influenced, multi-layered structure.

The works on display understand domestic space not as a static ensemble, but as an expression of social traces and individual presence. Furniture, textiles and architectural features appear in a state of limbo, as if visitors had just left or were about to enter. The materiality of the objects refers to the everyday and cultural memory dimensions of living.

The exhibition focuses on the relationship between objects, spaces and perspectives. Visitors' gazes are directed not only spatially, but also open up a sensual and emotional level of perception.

INTERIEUR views interior spaces as mirrors of social orders and individual lifestyles, a theme that is becoming increasingly relevant in light of changing living conditions and economic circumstances. The exhibition is open from 26 September to 26 October 2025, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The vernissage takes place on 25 September at 6 p.m., followed by an artist talk on 9 October at 7 p.m. The exhibition concludes with a finissage on 26 October.
