Like a cup that you don't put in the dishwasher, but rinse individually, and then put at the very back of the cupboard. Like children you only deal with by hitting them and then push them to the very back. Cracks aren't quite as good a serving suggestion as a drama. The drama is always brought to the front. But we wanted to talk about the terror. The crack, the drama, the terror. The drama has always been at home here.
With Barbara Steiner's newly adapted set design for the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, the Zurich production will be added to the repertoire in Berlin.
