In 1977, Christopher Street magazine observed that advertising was increasingly targeting both heterosexual and homosexual viewers.



This lecture, from a gender studies perspective, will examine Rico Puhlmann's portrayals of men in the New York magazine landscape and explore his contribution to establishing and making visible new images and bodies of masculinity.
