Bike tour to queer heroes
Homolulu Berlin is a queer city bike tour with the theme "Berlin Invents Homosexuality - Queer Stories from 1850-1935." The guided tour is available in German and English, or as a DIY audio tour via app.
The guides lead guests to historical sites and share fascinating gay stories: for example, the world's first public coming out, the first gay activist group, the first gay and lesbian magazine, the first gender reassignment surgery, and the world's first sexology institute.
Participants will also immerse themselves in the nightlife of the Golden Twenties around Nollendorfplatz, visit one of the world's oldest gay bars, and visit the city's most famous club at the time, the Eldorado.
The tour starts at Unter den Linden 4, in front of the Neue Wache, lasts approximately three hours, and ends in Schöneberg on Motzstrasse.
Participants must bring a bicycle.
Registration is required to control group size (info@homoluluberlin.de, WhatsApp +491632509549). At the end, everyone can tip as much as they like.
