Since 2024, Spreepark Art Space has been awarding residencies to international groups of artists working across disciplines. The exhibition ‘Hidden Realities’ presents the results of the first three of these three-month research residencies. The Animal Architecture Collective, Imperfect Futures and MOTHS provide insights into their work, all of which address key spatial, ecological and social issues by exploring nature and architecture, the present and the future, and food culture in the context of the former amusement park.

The Animal Architecture Collective is dedicated to the construction methods of non-human creatures and asks what insights can be gained from them for human architecture.
Imperfect Futures, in turn, examines the past, present and future of the Spreepark, shedding light on continuity, sustainability and time.
Finally, the collective MOTHS takes the site's food culture as a starting point to explore the history of the former amusement park and consider possible futures.
