Kyoka / Ensemble Spółdzielnia Muzyczna / Miako Klein & Jia Lim
In this work, coded organ voices condense into a sonic architecture that oscillates between collective memory and machine articulation.
In the evening, the internationally renowned electronic musician Kyoka presents the premiere of “Motion Scapes,” in which she uses a newly developed cybernetic apparatus to transform genetic traces from the environment into sonic processes.
Following this, the young ensemble Spółdzielnia Muzyczna from Kraków will present a program that fully reflects the experimental spirit of its musicians: the world premiere of Yoko Konishi’s “Motus Umbra” focuses on dynamic contrasts that oscillate between brutal noise and wafer-thin textures.
Barbara Zach explores the interrelationships between sound and image, while Żaneta Rydzewska juxtaposes organic and artificial soundscapes.
Eloain Lovis Hübner and Nina Fukuoka examine sonic and rhythmic patterns—these appear digitally fragmented or distorted in the spirit of glitch aesthetics, transforming traditional polka music into a contemporary context in a manner that is both ironic and multi-layered.
The program concludes with a multimedia set by Miako Klein and Jia Lim, who, with their latest release “Nova Atlantis,” create historical resonant spaces: Baroque stylistics, advanced technology, and virtuoso improvisational art converge in a vibrant, multi-layered dialogue in which temporal layers overlap and sonic memory becomes an experience of contemporary practice.
