Swingin´ Blues & Boogie Woogie
The Frank Muschalle Trio, consisting of Frank Muschalle (piano), Dirk Engelmeyer (drums/vocals), and Matthias Klüter (double bass), is a well-rehearsed team.
For over 25 years, they have toured with over 2,000 concerts throughout Europe, Paraguay, Bolivia, the USA, and North Africa. International invitations to concerts and festivals, as well as recordings with international blues and jazz greats, underscore the trio's class.
In addition to original compositions, the musicians interpret classics of the genre, such as Albert Ammons' "Boogie Woogie Stomp" and Pete Johnson's "Just For You." Under the motto "Swingin' Blues & Boogie Woogie," the trio presents rolling basses, a trilling treble, and pulsating rhythms, sometimes crisp, sometimes gentle, and always swinging!
A special highlight for the trio is Stephan Holstein, one of Europe's most sought-after saxophonists and clarinetists. His stylistic range extends from the music of Django Reinhart, classical, world music, and blues to contemporary jazz and improvisation.
