Workshop Series Paper Surface and Structure

Folding changes the shape, stability, and surface of paper. In this workshop, participants will experiment with lines, repetitions, compressions, and rhythmic structures.

Different folding techniques create relief-like surfaces that bridge the gap between flat surfaces and three-dimensional objects. The focus is less on perfect technique and more on intuitive experimentation.

How does paper react to pressure, direction, and movement? What effect do light and shadow have on folded structures? Together, everyone explores the creative possibilities of the material.
