The Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design invites visitors to the future exhibition space for the world's largest Bauhaus collection with the festival ‘Come to the construction site!’ The three-day programme in the new museum building currently under construction offers the opportunity to get a close-up look at the extension designed by Staab Architects.

The festival from 19 to 21 September marks the festive opening of the new Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design as an open place of exchange.

  • Visitors can look forward to architectural tours, artistic installations and performances, musical interpretations and the Bauhaus workshop for everyone.
  • An artistic documentary film about the new Bauhaus Archive and discussions on the development of the museum, featuring director Dr. Annemarie Jaeggi, architect Prof. Volker Staab and Senate Building Director Prof. Petra Kahlfeldt, among others, will provide deeper insights behind the scenes.
  • The future premises of the Bauhaus Shop and Bauhaus Café are open for pop-up events.
