... a ray of sunlight streams through broken windows, making tiny dust particles dance; rotten steps serve as a reminder of the countless feet that have walked up and down them—sometimes cheerfully and quickly, sometimes slowly and deliberately; peeling layers of paint tell stories of times gone by ... If you pause for just a moment, close your eyes, and block out the hustle and bustle of everyday life... then you can hear it: the whispering in the walls, the laughter as well as the crying, the worries and wishes, the hope... all of this drifts through the old rooms like a breath of air and comes alive again for a brief moment.
