The Swedish composer and pianist Kurt Wiklander has been organizing so-called "lunchtime concerts" in his Scandinavian homeland for many years. At these concerts, pieces specially selected by the composer are performed in public spaces such as church congregations, small theaters, community centers, and libraries.
All interested parties have access to these musical matinees in an informal atmosphere and with free admission. Since this concept has a long and strong tradition in Sweden, Kurt Wiklander offered to hold similar concerts at the "Mark Twain" District Central Library during his visits to Berlin. The library team gratefully accepted the offer and established this type of event exclusively in his district.
You are cordially invited to embark on a musical journey with Kurt Wiklander, which will introduce you to both familiar and new piano works. Kurt Wiklander will also play and present his own works at these events.
Pastries and coffee will be served.
Registration required by phone at +49 30 54 704 142 or via the library website.
Admission is free.
Exit: A donation to the Friends of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf City Library Association to help finance the event. The donation collected after the concert will benefit the composer.
Photos and/or videos will be taken at some events at the City Library, which may be published on its website, those of its partners, Facebook, or Instagram.
With the kind support of the Friends of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf City Library Association.
