Duo ›con emozione‹

Entitled Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her (From Heaven Above, That's Where I Come From), the programme features well-known and lesser-known Christmas and winter songs from the Baroque and Romantic periods, alongside original compositions by Norbert Fietzke.

Drawing on historical texts by authors such as Clemens Brentano, Theodor Storm and Joachim Ringelnatz, the selection also presents traditional melodies of European origin. The intimate setting of the concert allows for an in-depth exploration of musical forms that touch on festive repertoire and literary traditions.

Liane Fietzke (soprano, moderation and readings) and Norbert Fietzke (piano) have created a programme for the Duo con emozione that combines stylistic diversity and personal interpretation. Based in the Havelland region for many years, the duo continuously works on concert formats that relate historical musical practices to contemporary listening habits.

The concert will take place on Thursday, 26 December 2024, at 4 p.m. at Schönhausen Palace. If demand is high, an additional performance will be held in the morning.
